E-notes

The project is funded by the European Commission – DG General “Freedom and Security”, Programme: Prevention of and Fight against Crime. The project aims at establishing a Europe-wide permanent monitoring mechanism (Observatory) and a comparable reporting mechanism implemented by the NGO community. It also strives to create a network of measures against trafficking, exploitation and slavery in Europe to enhance and support public institutions’ policies in the field of protection and assistance of trafficked persons. Specific project objectives are:

to define a shared and comparable methodology and set indicators for the NGOs reporting activity on measures to fight trafficking, exploitation and slavery in Europe;
to implement analyses, comparisons and reports on the quality and effectiveness of policies, strategies and interventions in response to trafficking in human beings at the Member states and European level;
to develop a web-based information center for the functional exchange and dissemination of quantitative and qualitative data organized along the identified reporting protocol and indicators.
